Coastal Inspiration

This is probably one of my faves to date, we were thrilled that it was featured on both 100 Layer Cake and Pottery Barn's blog!  Faria Beach is a very special place to our family, we wanted to embrace this amazing view, but did not want to do a "typical" beach theme.  We decided to use elements that would pop against the beautiful blue, grey & sand palette.  Enter my current obsession with bougainvillea - it was the perfect contrast to pair with the blushes, peaches & magentas that we decided to use for the florals.  It grows everywhere in Ventura County, so it made sense to incorporate it into our local photo shoot.  Anna Delores Photography killed it with these amazing photos, that Lady knows how to use light like no other!

I love when I have the freedom to create something unexpected.  This bouquet was a dream!

MJB Cakes is a baking genius.  Seriously, her stuff is always delicious & always gorgeous!

Spanish Flair, Santa Barbara Historical Museum

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we are featuring our dear friends Krista & Alan who got married in September at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.  This was a special wedding for us as Scott was the Best Man and I got to be a guest!  Charlotte was 3 weeks old and was strapped to me while my team and I set up for this gorgeous spanish inspired wedding.  Krista and her mom didn't leave any details out, and as a result, I Heart My Groom captured this beautiful, romantic wedding, enjoy!

It is always fun when my Brides want color!

The wooden tables with the cobalt blue and colorful florals were to die for!

Krista collected various cobalt blue vessels for a year, totally worth it!

They were married under a simple, understated arch made with seeded eucalyptus.

Dahlias, Roses, Succulents & Thistle covered the cake.

Blue thistle was placed in each napkin for a finishing touch.

Lounge Furniture with mexican blankets gave a cozy place for us to relax with our margaritas!

The Santa Barbara Historical Museum is absolutely stunning at night too!  Can't wait for our next wedding there in June with Robin Sonner Events (805-687-3345)

Pure Glamour at the Four Seasons, Biltmore

Amanda & Nico were married in January at the Santa Barbara Mission and the reception was held at the Four Seasons, Biltmore, Santa Barbara.  Amanda could not have planned a more glamorous affair with lots of sparkly details, while also being the sweetest and most laid back Bride.  Meghan Christine Photography took gorgeous photographs and Tricia Dahlgren Events helped make the event run seamlessly.

 We attached her family rosary to her bouquet.

White peonies, hydrangea and garden roses made this bouquet smell absolutely divine.

The Santa Barbara Mission is absolutely amazing, a true piece of art!

 The Mother's wore a simple china mum as a fun alternative to the traditional corsage.

 Ummm, they are perfect.

 Seriously, don't we all dream of a veil like that, and that dress.  It is my favorite of all time.

 The escort cards sat on a bed of white flowers.

Gold, sparkles and luxe white flowers.  What more can you ask for?

 I get so giddy when my Brides use La Tavola linens, is there anything prettier?

 Rose petals and A LOT of candles lined the head table - so romantic!
