Coastal Inspiration

This is probably one of my faves to date, we were thrilled that it was featured on both 100 Layer Cake and Pottery Barn's blog!  Faria Beach is a very special place to our family, we wanted to embrace this amazing view, but did not want to do a "typical" beach theme.  We decided to use elements that would pop against the beautiful blue, grey & sand palette.  Enter my current obsession with bougainvillea - it was the perfect contrast to pair with the blushes, peaches & magentas that we decided to use for the florals.  It grows everywhere in Ventura County, so it made sense to incorporate it into our local photo shoot.  Anna Delores Photography killed it with these amazing photos, that Lady knows how to use light like no other!

I love when I have the freedom to create something unexpected.  This bouquet was a dream!

Crystal Huber Makeup got to work with Brooke who is beautiful beyond words!

 Love these Pottery Barn pillows!

A Charming Occasion added the straw mats under a painted pallet for a fun seating alternative.

MJB Cakes is a baking genius.  Seriously, her stuff is always delicious & always gorgeous!

The gloom that day was perfect, we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Bel Air Bay Club Wedding

Natalie and Win were married at the Bel Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, the views were beyond stunning and the weather was perfect!  Jenny from Alders Photography (who I had the pleasure of hanging with at The Cream Event last night) captured the day perfectly and just informed me that it will be featured on a major blog in the near future.  Hallie from La Boheme Events, Jen from Prim & Pixie and Melissa from MJB Cakes (who I also got to hang with at The Cream) did an amazing job on the design of the wedding, paper goods and delish cake & dessert bar, I could not have been in better company for this gorgeous beach front wedding!
The Bride wanted to have a classy beach theme which Hallie designed perfectly.  Loved the addition of the vintage pink goblets!
Lots of candles, driftwood and garden roses made it super soft & romantic.
The main room in the Bel Air Bay Club is to die for.
The Groom is from Australia where the fiddle fern is symbolic, so we incorporated into the boutonnieres to honor his homeland.
Our custom sea glass vases with just a hint of peach lined the escort card table.
Wispy eucalyptus and soft white flowers decorated the massive fountain in the courtyard.
We created a large, natural garland to compliment the amazing view.
MJB Cakes will seriously blow your mind.
I want a margarita.  Is it 5pm yet?
Loved the paper goods provided by Prim & Pixie, they tied everything together.

Simple & Chic at Sherwood Country Club

We are loving these photos from Mi Belle Photographers from a beautiful wedding we did at Sherwood Country Club in June with La Boheme Events.
We used the most beautiful dahlia in the Bride's bouquet!
The ceremony was a stunner with our custom birch chuppah, rose petals & pomander balls hanging from the chairs (they were later re-used around the reception)
We added romantic swags to each corner.
Peonies, stock, lisianthus and eucalyptus created the perfect color palette.
We staggered the pomander balls on vases to create a chic, modern arrangement.
The ballroom was simple and elegant.
The centerpieces were simple & organic in custom dark wood boxes.
Loved this rectangular version for the sweetheart table!

A Lavender Wedding at Sherwood Country Club

Toby Tucker Photography took some gorgeous photos of one of our biggest weddings of the season.  Courtney & Bryant had their reception at Sherwood Country Club, however, they wanted to create their own space so with the help of Hallie from La Boheme Events and Bob from A Rental Connection (who work magic together on the reg), they created a custom structure beautifully draped on the croquet lawn.  It was incredible!
We decorated the grand entrance into the amazing structure with huge floral tie backs and tons of flowers and candles, it was breath-taking once the sun set.
There were over 200 arrangements that flocked the tables in mixed metallic & white vessels
Loved these table numbers from Prim & Pixie.
Napkins & Linens from La Tavola.
Courtney's bouquet consisted of lush garden roses mixed with lots of fun texture.
The girls were all gorgeous and look at that adorable flower girl!
Another shot of the bouquet just because.
Fun stir sticks by Prim & Pixie and amazing cake from MJB Cakes.

An Elegant Affair, The Carondelet House

First off, The Carondelet House is an amazing venue, those brick walls, the mixed & matched wooden chairs and the black & white awnings are just some of the qualities that make this venue magical.  Alexis and Mateo worked closely with La Boheme Events to create the most classic wedding of the year.  Hallie & Alexis paid attention to every detail to create this romantic, elegant evening that we all want to relive over and over again.  Thankfully, we had Kelly from Wild Whim Photography so we can do so without all the work!
Amazing.
We added black privet berries to her white bouquet to add drama.
We created custom floral frames for the ceremony backdrop.  Doing this again fo sho.
We flipped the room and the ceremony backdrop became the sweetheart table backdrop.
Thank you Wild Whim, this photo is classic.
The cake topper has been in her family for years.
More framed flowers for your viewing pleasure.
